Kaisa Leka (born in 1978) is a cartoonist from Porvoo, Finland. She’s studied comics and graphic design in the Lahti University of Applied Sciences, and her comics have been published in several Finnish magazines as well as her popular sketchbook blog.
Her autobiographical graphic novels have received a lot of critical acclaim both in Finland and internationally. The main themes in her autobiographical books are living with a disability, spiritual searching and relationship. Her work has been featured in many exhibitions and publications across Europe, and published in six different languages. Kaisa has also been invited to speak about her work to festivals in Finland, Sweden, Russia, and France.
Besides comics Kaisa is interested in politics, knitting, vegetarian cuisine, meditation, cycling, reading, and taking naps.
